Throughout my childhood I constantly drew and sketched. When given the elementary-school assignment of drawing my concept of happiness, I created a self-portrait, which depicted me cheerfully floating among the clouds in a lazy-boy recliner. It was during this time that I wistfully told my mother “I wish it was always summer and everything was chocolate.”

As a college student at UNCW when I wasn’t spending my days at the beach, I continued to draw and sketch during my sociology classes.  After graduating, I moved to the Washington, D.C. area and spent several years pretending to be a grown-up working in politics and academia

After leaving the business world, I decided to get back to what I love and began painting. Today my art can be found in galleries and private collections throughout the Southeast. My honors include being selected “Best in Show” by Wilford Scott of the National Gallery of Art, having two of my paintings selected for inclusion in a major motion picture and being commissioned by EPA’s Office of Water.

I want my paintings to prompt a sense of unencumbered happiness and beauty. Through my art, my days are now filled with sunshine, summer, and sometimes even chocolate.
